FIFA investigates Paraguay FA’s…

June 5th, 2006 | By: Daniel | No Comments »

Andreas Herren, spokesman confirmed yesterday than the FIFA had open an investigation against the Paraguay FA’s concerning the sale of Paraguayan tickets mainly for the game against England. The main concern of FIFA is that these tickets will be use by hooligans or some other people than otherwise couldn’t get a ticket.

In Paraguay, the companies that commercialized the tickets said that from the first day that they got the tickets they didn’t know why they got only a few tickets for the match against England.

At this time, either the FIFA or the Paraguayan people don’t know if these tickets were sold with the help of the FA or it was a creative idea of people that bought the tickets only to resale it overseas. But we need to remember that is still fresh in the memory of the fans when in the qualifying game against Argentina in Asuncion, more than half of the stadium were fill with Argentinean fans, in the understanding that some people resold their tickets to Argentineans, thing that lead to the change of all the members of the FA.
