Friendly Match Against Norway With Absences…

The team that will start the friendly game against Norway next May 24 will have the absence of the Paraguayan Star Striker Roque Santa Cruz, Julio Cesar Caceres (defense), Denis Caniza (defense) and Carlos Humberto Paredes (midfield) because the medics gave them the whole week to rest and to recover from injuries and fatigue.

Today the players that trained as the main team were Justo Villar, Carlos Bonet, Paulo da Silva, Carlos Gamarra and Delio Toledo; Edgar Barreto, Roberto Acuña, Cristian Riveros and Julio dos Santos, Salvador Cabañas and Nelson Haedo Valdez. They probably will start the game tomorrow.

The question is if in this match we would see the strategy that Anibal Ruiz will use in the World Cup or if it will be just a non-sense game like the last against Mexico. Although Ruiz said that he will use only 3 players in the defense, this team has his classic 4-4-2 strategy, so there will be nothing new under the sun in this match.

The positive thing is that we will see how Nelson and Salvador play together in the event that Roque is unavailable for the first match. Lets hope that we will see a good game, primarily because this could give confidence to the team, thing that will be great for the moral facing the World Cup.
