Paraguay Captain Sees World Cup R-E-S-P-E-C-T
Carlos Gamarra thinks that after the World Cup the world will know how good football is in his country. Using the favorite phrase of athletes the world over, Gamarra says that Paraguay is going to earn “respect” in Germany. He also thinks the team might go pretty far despite playing in a group with England and Sweden: “I can assure you that Paraguay will qualify for the next round.”
I always like these kinds of predictions because when they don’t come true there is never a follow up story like “Gamarra was cocky and foolish before the World Cup and in fact Paraguay did not earn the respect of anyone in Germany.”
What do you think Paraguay fans? Does your team deserve respect?

England does not need others respect!Others know how good we are, If they treat us with contempt they will pay,so on that basis I hope they all take us lightly, but do I, not for a second think they will.Teams who do this will self distuct
though there own ignorance and misplaced judement.Dont get me wrong, respect is a good thing!
but there is respect for trying to be one of the best, and theres respect for Being one of the best,England are one of top four best teams in the world.acknowlede this and up your game, ignore the fact and you may very well lose, simple

The kind of respect that Gamarra is talking is that you earn in the field, not with words.
In the last 2 worldcups Paraguay was saw as an easy team that can be beat before even the game started.
That kind of thought is that Gamarra says that will change in his third straight presentation in a worldcup. Ask Spain if they still saw as an easy team.
