Paraguay won its last friendly match…
Yesterday, Paraguay had won its last match 3-0 against the Bavarian Selection Team. The match was played in the Unterhaching Stadium in Munich, Germany. Although that this rival was a less important team, and everyone is putting its thoughts in the World Cup, so nobody is risking their legs, this was the last opportunity to some players to show their abilities to the coach if they want to start in some of the games.
The Paraguayan’s goals were scored by Salvador Cabanas (two times) and Julio Dos Santos. Dos Santos played a little more forward than the midfield line, in a position that is a little more beneficial for him. We need to remember than both players had lost its places in the starting line-up, so this last presentation was very important in trying to winning back their place.
The other player that many wanted to see was Jose Montiel. The Paraguayan youngster did not found its game until today. Although that he made good presentations in the last qualifying games of Paraguay, he is having low performances the last months, with his former team (Olimpia) and with the National team. This situation jeopardized its presence in the final player list and even raised the critics of the press. But it looks like coach Ruiz believe in him, so we hope that he reaches his higher level very soon to constitute an important variant in the team.
