People claim for generational change of the players…
Is time for the change. The Paraguayans fans affirm on a survey that they will like younger players in the national team, eager of glory and those who are not planning their retirement. Although the fans admitted the great service that the old players gave to the team, they hold that don’t want to see old players that only wants to go to Germany for a major farewell of their professional careers, primarily because they will be forbidding the presence of other young players that are having great performances. Is still fresh on the memory of the fans the last World Cup when Jose Luis Chilavert played overweighed and out of shape.
Players that will only be benchwarmers or that possibly will play a few minutes of the second half are the ones who dislikes more. Jose “Pepe” Cardozo is the one who is receiving the most critics. Even though the fans still like and support him, they said that he needs to realize that he time had passed, that he is out of shape and don’t need to loose the esteem of the people making a bad presentation in the World Cup, he had his chance playing two World Cups and a the finals at the Athenas Olympic Games and needs to step aside for the next generation.
Finally, the fans expressed their concerns about why Maño Ruiz is delaying the announcement of the final list, because the later he announces, the less the fans can complaint or force some changes.
