Swedish journalists banned from the practice.
The Paraguayan FA had denied the access to the practice field to all the Swedish journalists. The friction between Paraguayan players and the Swedish press started a couple of weeks before the World Cup had begun when a Swedish woman journalist affirmed that she received an “indecent proposal” from a member of the national team.
Because the Paraguayan FA or the FIFA didn’t receive a formal complaint about this situation, members of the FA said that this was only a “psychological war” to heat up the stress the players for the World Cup.
Although that the FA didn’t want to include all members of the press in the same group, they preferred to use this method to preserve the tranquility in the team.
