Paraguay vs. Chile

The exciting World Cup qualifiers are on again! Today Paraguay receives Chile at the “Defensores del Chaco” stadium at 18:50 ET.

Paraguay is taking a relatively different team to the field today since a couple of our starters are out. Cabanas has a one game suspension. Roque, Morel Rodriguez, and Jonathan Santana are out due to injuries.

Still, there are several players on our team that can come on just as effectively. Benfica star, “Tacuara” Cardozo will start for the second time because of these circumstances. It seems Julio Manzur has unceded Paulo de Silva.

The right back Marcos Caceres from Racing (Argentina) will play his first official game for Paraguay.

Interestingly two sets of brothers have been called for the Chile and Brazil games. Edgar and Diego Barreto as well as Victor and Marcos Caceres are in the Albirroja. The last two will be fielded.

Let’s keep our winning streak on Chile! We have won the last four World Cup qualifier games against them. The last score was 3-0 for Paraguay in Chile.
